Rheological properties of foams prepared from aqueous solutions of surfactant

クラシエホームプロダクツは、北陸先端科学技術大学院大学と共同研究を行い、2012年5月13～18日に行われたIACIS2012 (International Association of Colloid and Interface Scientists)にて、以下のとおり発表いたしました。

概要

演題名	Rheological properties of foams prepared from aqueous solutions of surfactant
発表内容概要	Non-linear rheological properties of aqueous dry foams are evaluated in the wide range of shear rate by means of a new method using concentric cylinders. The effect of surface slippage on apparent viscosity is examined by changing the gap between the cylinders and found to be negligible. The obtained flow curve is a typical one of plastic flow and can be expressed by Bingham equation. Moreover, the yield stress is found to have a relation with the storage modulus in the linear viscoelastic region measured by compression-mode.
